Here is an inexpensive option and very reliable for controlling boost with an external gate on your diesel application.
Typically, with a boost controller working from boost pressure on a diesel you run into inconstant boost or gates opening too soon. This is because diesels drive pressure builds quicker than the boost does with aftermarket turbos. The gates don't have enough spring pressure to hold them down while the boost builds in the top hat of the gate. So, you blow it open early and boost never catches up.
With our controller you wire in an inexpensive compressor and tank with its built-in regulator. If you want 40psi to the top cap of the gate you set the regulator to 40psi and you have that all the time because you are using compressed air from the tank.
